There have been many cases throughout the country where whether a police brutality lawsuit was filed or not, it involved a mental health crisis. Sometimes somebody’s having a mental health crisis and they’re walking down a highway in the middle of the night. Sometimes somebody’s having a mental health crisis and they sincerely and legitimately believe that the police are aliens that were sent to abduct them. So, they’re fighting back against their alien abductors. But the fact of the matter is the only way that it’s going to be examined as far as the court is concerned is through the officer’s eyes based on what information was available at the time.
