Solomon Radner’s Local Ties to the Community
Something that I like to do as a lawyer to give back to the community; If somebody reaches out to me and they can’t afford to retain an attorney, but it’s a case that I feel very strongly about. It’s a case that I would consider taking on pro bono. I’ve done a lot more pro bono work than I probably should have. Not only innocent’s work, but other work. For example, I have a policy in my office. If you are law enforcement or military and you have a legal issue that you’re facing and I can help you with it, I will help you with it and I will not charge.
My policy is I represent law enforcement and military for free to the extent I possibly can. In fact, a few years back, I got honored by Wayne State University Law School for taking on over 20 pro bono cases on behalf of military members in a one-year period. So, giving back to the community is obviously something very important. It’s something that we should all do, and it’s a responsibility that I take very seriously.
